The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship.

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” - Plato
Even the strongest souls need a helping hand from time to time. That’s why we’re focusing on compassion for the weary mind for this month’s #GetKind theme.
Being there to help a friend, family member, or a stranger when they need it most is truly an act of kindness. After all, you never know when you’ll be the one who needs a helping hand. Kindness is contagious.
We hope you’ll visit our blog for a few ideas on how to help. Now get out there and do some good, and don’t forget to tag us on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest with #GetKind and #theRandomAct.
We all know the world is filled with kind people. But every now and then you see someone do something special – something out of the ordinary, something so exceptional that it makes you remember all over again what kindness is all about.
Caught in the Act is your opportunity to reward those people – to catch that moment in time and ensure it’s recognized and highlighted as an example shared with many.
If you have questions about how the program works or who can be nominated, just drop by our blog. You can also send questions anytime to Events@theRandomAct.org.
And don’t forget to tag stories and photos of the amazing people you’ve “Caught in the Act” with #theRandomAct.org and #CITAct on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Want to get a little closer to Random Acts supporters from around the world and around the corner? Drop by our Forum.
You can stop by to say hello to our other friends who are out to conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time, share your ideas on how to #getkind this month, pick up a few ideas for #E4K, or just hang out.
P.S. Although it’s great to stay connected, we don’t recommend sharing one t-shirt (at least not at the same time).
P.S.S. If you’re interest in a Random Acts tee, hoodie, or even tote bag, be sure to check out our stores. We now have #E4K gear in stock.
And there’s one thing I’ve come to know for sure. There’s no bitterness that smolders, no chip on any shoulder that a random act of kindness couldn’t cure.
“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.” - Maya Angelou
Just a reminder that you are amazing. You inspire us each and every single day.
Because of you we are conquering the world one random act of kindness at a time. So the next time you’re out there getting kind, be sure to save a little kindness for yourself.
We’re all in this together. Have an awesome weekend!
P.S. You can download this and our other e-kindness cards on our website. They’re fun, free, and guaranteed to make someone smile.
Are you ready to Endure4Kindness? Our annual #E4K event is only a couple of months away on the weekend of October 18-19. We hope we can count on you to join in the fun this year and that you’ll show support for our other E4k-ers even if you aren’t enduring yourself.
If you haven’t decided how you plan to endure for kindness, check out our Training Blog. It’s filled with great ideas from the Random Acts team. Find out how we’re enduring for kindness this year, and then stop by our Crowdrise page to see who’s already signed up.
And we also have a special surprise for you! This year we’ll be introducing an #E4K trainer to help motivate you. After all, enduring for kindness is a lot more fun when you have some inspiration.
P.S. If you’re looking for #E4K training gear, we’ve just added a few new #E4K items to our Spreadshirt store, and tees are 15% off through September 2 with the code: SHIRTS15
Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.
