The Free High School of San Juan del Sur needs a bus!

The Free High School of San Juan del Sur is a non-profit organisation providing access to adolescents and adults excluded from regular high schools. That means women with children, people over the age of eighteen, people who work all week, and people who live too far from daily schools.

Many of the school’s students travel for hours (and some even travel for days) on unreliable and crowded public transport to reach their classes. Education is vital for the future of any nation, and Nicaragua is one of the poorest in the world.

That’s why we want to help them get their bus. Please help us get it done.

Some of the students at the The Free High School of San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua spend two days travelling to school on unreliable public transport just so they can attend classes - and attendance is required if they wish to stay in school.

A bus of their own will make an immediate and powerful difference to their lives and slowly but surely have a tangible economic impact in Nicaragua. Random Acts has already pledged $10,000 to the cause, and now they’re only $1,950 off their goal.
