To all of our supporters:

You’ve made this day bigger and better than we ever hoped it could be. You are the greatest. I think the whole RA Admin Staff might have shed a few tears tonight. Thank you for being awesome! The world is a better place today because of you.

Don’t forget to fill in your AMOK Participation Forms! All participants are eligiable for the SAARAs, and there are some big prizes on offer.

Feel like you missed out? Catch up on all of our AMOK posts and check out the AMOK tag right here on Tumblr. If you’re still curious, the #AMOK hashtag over on Twitter has been a real melee of kindness!

Once again, Random Acts would like to thank all of you for your participation, and that pesky Misha Collins for his continued support and encouragement.

Running AMOK.

timelessmoon:

Today I ran AMOK (Annual Melee of Kindness) by I going around to random people who were shopping and wished them a happy Annual Melee of Kindness. Then, I handed them a heartfelt, handwritten card about life and living and cherishing every little thing. Later, I went out to the parking lot and tagged cars with sticky notes with messages saying, “Have a beautiful day!” or “You’re awesome!” Or even, “I love your car!”

It was fun and it felt really good, and the reactions I got to the notes were usually smiles and thanks. But some people were shocked, as if they had never gotten such a card before. I hope I made their day though. The most memorable one was this one lady who I was wary to approach at first because she looked angry and pouty. I went up to here anyway and wished her a happy AMOK day and gave her the card. Her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree and the most beautiful look of gratitude crossed her face. She thanked me dearly and told me what a kind and beautiful gesture this was.

I’m glad I made some people’s days a little lighter, to say the least. It was really fun too! I’m looking forward to doing this again next year!

Why a sock monkey hat! Because I’m Misha’s minion!

yellow-spider:

I participated in AMOK after all! Hooray! Bought a bunch of $5 Starbucks gift cards and told the baristas to pay for however many people they could with them and not to say who it was from. I’m sitting in the cafe for book club and watching the reactions. I love doing this kind of stuff. The baristas are just as excited as I am.

This is so lovely and random! Had to reblog!

This was how I ran AMOK! Not a very interesting video, honestly, just me sitting in my car talking about what I did. I made it just for sharing purposes, so watch if you want!

Also, I performed this act on my own, so I’m sorry if the video is a little shaky or bad quality. I recorded this on my BlackBerry, and if you have one you’ll know that BB’s suck for video and picture taking.
